What are the different types of massages to choose from?

There are a wide array of massages and techniques that you can choose from. Some of them have specific uses, while other types of massages are used to simply relax the body. The Swedish and Bali massage is the most common type that people think of when they hear the word "massage." With this type, the client disrobes and covers their midsection with a towel. The masseuse uses oils and several techniques to help muscles to loosen and relieve stress.

Thai Traditional Massage is a full body massage without oil that uses ancient methods (Wat Po Temple) which apply body pressure (palm, forearm, feet, elbows and knees), yoga stretching and acupressure on the Thai 10 massage lines or Energy lines that will stimulate the flowing of internal energy in the body. This will directly heal the ailing organs and also eliminate the toxins out of body tissues. It is good to relieve fatigue, nervous tension and make muscle & joints supply and pliable.

With an Oriental massage, on the other hand, the client typically stays fully clothed and acupuncture is often used in the procedure. The masseuse works on major pressure points in order to bring the body into complete balance. You can also choose between a myofacial release massage, a postural massage, or many others.

But in Kilimanjaro, we mainly provide you "Malay Traditional Massage" which the prevalent form of treatment widely used in Malay community. Malay Traditional Massage is a technique that combines the elements of effleurage (slow rhythmic gliding strokes), Petrissage (kneading, pressing and rolling of muscles), Neuromuscular (trigger point therapy) and Deep tissue massage. We would like to invite you to try if you've never experienced this kind of massage.
